UPDATE
- The
Board of Directors has approved changes to the point priority system which
will reward contributors who give more than the minimum amount in their
giving level. Current Giving points and Cumulative Giving points have been
revised. So if you can not donate at the next highest level in
the Hokie Club, consider giving a larger amount than the minimum within
your current giving level to increase your ranking in the Priority Point
System
The point priority system is used to
reward those who are loyal and active supporters of the Virginia Tech
Athletic Fund.
The point total is based on the contributor's
current gift (within the last 12 months), cumulative giving, years of
continuous giving (Hokie Club or higher), volunteer involvement (Hokie Rep
or President) and season ticket holders of football and/or basketball.
Points are also given for post season ticket purchases. The ticket
points are earned only if the contributor has purchased tickets in their
name.

Post-season tickets - Women's Basketball = 3 points *

points per ticket purchased
* - purchased through the Tech Ticket Office
To determine your points:
Take your Base Club Points + Current Giving Points + Consecutive Hokie Club
Member Points + Involvement Points + Season Ticket Points to get a total.
So, as an example, if your were a Golden Hokie (9000 Base
Points) and had given $2000 over the last 12 months (41 Current Gift Points)
and had given $3450 over his lifetime (18 Cumulative Giving Points) and had
been a member for 8 continuous years (8 Consecutive Member Points) who was
not a Hokie Rep but was a Football Season ticket holder (5 Season Ticket
Points), Your Total Points would be 9072 Points.
Those points are then all assigned a ranking from the
highest to the lowest with the highest number of points having a rating of
1, the second highest point total is assigned a rating of 2 and so on. So
the above example would rate somewhere between 468 and 1053, based on the
November 1999 numbers and between 807 and 2525, based on the April 2004
numbers given below.
The November 1999 through December 31, 2007 Club Level Ranking
Breakdowns are as follows:
